LET'S TALK

Your Starting Point

Who this programme is designed for.

This programme is for professionals who want to make a difference. Who want their work to matter. Who want to understand themselves at a deeper level and help others do the same.

Those who are ready to do the work, not just learn about it.

Whether you are stepping into coaching for the first time, integrating it into the leadership role you already hold, or beginning a career transition you have been thinking about for years, this is where you start. With the fundamentals, the core competencies, and the personal work that transforms you, so that you can transform others.

The Methodology

The Methodology That Runs Through Everything

Most coaching programmes teach you a model. A questioning framework. A session structure you can follow. And there is genuine value in that foundation. But training that stops at technique leaves something important unaddressed.

Positive psychology is not a technique. It is the science of what allows people to flourish: to move beyond the absence of problems and into the presence of genuine, sustained wellbeing, growth, and meaning. When that science becomes the foundation of your practice, something fundamentally shifts in how you understand people and what becomes possible in a coaching conversation.

You stop looking for what is wrong. You start working with what is strong. You stop coaching behaviour and start coaching the identity-level patterns that drive it. The ICF Core Competencies are not taught here as a checklist of skills. They are taught through the lens of what the evidence actually says about how human beings change, grow, and sustain that change.

That is the thread that runs through every module in this programme. Not as an add-on. As the architecture of how everything is delivered.

It is also why your own transformation is part of the curriculum here. You cannot coach someone through their patterns with genuine depth if you have not already done that work on yourself. The science supports this. And so does everything we have observed in over a decade of coaching education: the coaches who change people’s lives are not those who learned the most models. They are those who did the deepest personal work.

That is what this programme was built to make possible.

The What

Three modules. All eight ICF Core Competencies.

Every module combines theoretical instruction, skills practice, observed coaching, and reflective learning. Every hour is designed to build both your professional skill and your personal depth. You do not learn coaching as a set of techniques. You learn it as a way of being that begins with you.

Module One

01

Foundations of Coaching

Before you learn what to do as a coach, you need to understand who you need to be as one. This module takes you through the origins and evolution of coaching, the philosophy behind it, and the ethical framework that holds everything together. You will learn how to build a coaching relationship grounded in genuine trust, how to structure a coaching conversation from opening to closure, and how to navigate the ethical decisions that define professional practice.

Positive psychology underpins this entire module. From the first session, you are learning to see your clients through the lens of strengths, resources, and possibility rather than deficit and correction. That lens is not a technique you apply later. It shapes how you listen, how you question, and how you hold space from the very beginning.

This is where your coaching mindset takes shape.

Module Two

02

Coaching Models and Goal Facilitation

You will meet clients who know something needs to shift, but cannot articulate what. This module gives you the frameworks to meet them there. You will work with the GROW model and the I-CAN-DO model, develop skills in values clarification and self-concept, explore limiting beliefs, learn how to set SMART goals and facilitate personal development planning.

What makes this module different is the positive psychology layer woven through each framework. Goal facilitation here is not just about helping a client move from A to B. It is about helping them understand what genuinely matters to them, why their current patterns exist, and what resources they already hold that have simply not yet been activated.

This is the real work of helping someone move from vague intention to meaningful action.

Module Three

03

Communication in Coaching

The quality of your coaching will always come back to the quality of your listening. Not listening for what to say next. Listening for what is not being said. This module develops your capacity for active listening, powerful questioning, paraphrasing, and non-verbal communication. You will learn to build real trust and rapport, identify the barriers that get in the way of coaching dialogue, and develop the presence that allows people to be honest in ways they did not expect.

The positive psychology research on human connection, psychological safety, and strengths-based inquiry runs directly through this module. You are not just learning communication skills. You are learning to create the conditions in which people experience themselves differently.

This is where you build the skill that, more than any other, separates a competent coach from a transformational one.

From People Who Have Been Where You Are

The words that matter most are not ours.

I was a lawyer in the corporate world for 14 years. All the promises that were made are being fulfilled. If you are feeling drawn to it, it is resonating with you for a reason.

Marla Tseng

Former Corporate Lawyer

I can honestly say you will come out a different person to the one that initially walked in the door. I am so excited that I am now going to have the opportunity to take other people on their own journey of discovery.

Lorena Hutchings

Programme Graduate

How I’ve changed as a person did not even enter my mind as an outcome of the coaching course. I’m 53 and this has given me a new zest for life.

Is This For You?

Let us help you answer that honestly.

This is the right place to begin if…

  • You are ready to start coaching with a solid foundation, not a shortcut
  • You want training that includes your own personal development as part of the curriculum
  • You want a globally recognised ICF certification behind your name
  • You value doing the inner work as much as learning the outer skill

You might want to consider Level 2 instead if…

  • You already hold ACC certification and are ready for the advanced psychology and identity-level work
  • You already hold ACC certification and want to go beneath the surface-level work into evidence-based frameworks and specialist niches

Common Questions

The questions most people ask before they say yes.

Do I need prior coaching experience?

No. This programme is designed for accomplished professionals from diverse backgrounds. What matters is your commitment to doing the work, not your coaching history.

What exactly is positive psychology, and why does it matter for coaching?

Positive psychology is the science of what enables human beings to flourish: to live with genuine wellbeing, meaning, resilience, and engagement. In a coaching context, it shifts the entire orientation of the work. Rather than focusing on what is wrong and how to fix it, you work with what is strong and how to build on it. Rather than treating behaviour as the problem to solve, you work at the level of identity, where lasting change actually happens. This is not an alternative to rigorous coaching methodology. It is the lens through which rigorous coaching methodology becomes genuinely transformational.

How much time will this take each week?

Most students complete the programme in 3 to 4 months, committing a few focused hours per week. The programme is designed to fit into your life, not replace it.

Is the programme fully online?

Yes. All sessions are delivered online, through a blend of live interactive sessions and self-paced learning. You can complete it from anywhere in the world.

What if I want to continue to Level 2 later?

Every hour of your Level 1 training counts toward the full ACC-to-PCC pathway. When you continue to Level 2, your existing hours carry forward in full. Nothing is repeated.

What qualifications do the faculty and mentor coaches hold?

Every faculty member holds an active ICF credential and completes ongoing training to ensure accurate and consistent competency evaluation. You are being guided by people who coach professionally, not people who only teach about it.
